New York author Julia Pierpont's debut novel Among the Ten Thousand Things is set for release on August 6 with Oneworld Publications.

The novel, which was first developed during a workshop with Zadie Smith during Pierpont's MFA at NYU, sold for six figures in 2012 and tells the story of a New York artist whose family receives a package containing details of his secret life. Pierpont, who's received praise from celebrated novelists including Colm Tóibín and Jonathan Safran Foer, who called the novel 'among the funniest and most emotionally honest I've read in a long time', looks set to be one of the brightest young stars in the world of literary fiction.
